Color of Friendship

A few months ago while sitting making a friendship bracelet I got to thinking...
"This would be an excellent way to raise money to sponser children in foreign countires!" I had always seen it been done by the most random selection of people; all the way to surfer "dudebros" knitting beanies! If they can do it, aw what the heck. I was not sure if the idea would work, so I stayed quiet about it, left it in the back of the closet and just recently pulled it back out.
The plan is to pull together an organization; one much like that of Claire Aufhammer's "The Exchange". Friendship bracelets are in, one of those crazy accessories that are seen on most high schooler's today. I know without a doubt they would buy them. Especially the guys; guys don't want to take the time to make friendship bracelets for their friends. I mean lets be realistic...they would rather spend their time on more important things like building muscle, watching the big game, or practice guitar. ;)These bracelets would be sold for a reasonable amount, in hope they'd be sold. Non of the profits would go to me, but rather 100% would go to supporting children.
Matt White and I are hopefully going to kick off announcing this amazing opportunity by April. We have come to the conclusion that we want to make both friendship bracelets and leather bracelets. Prices are still up in the air, that will come last. As of right now, we just need to get going! I know this project will work fabulously! I am so excited to announce it in the Spring. More information will be coming your way. I will make sure to update this from time to time to keep yall involved in the plans.
For those of you who do not know the Lake Avenue High School's sponser children yet, please welcome Sobin and Josuay! My hope is, God willing, that by August, we will be able to sponser another little one.
